I would say you left out two of the most important incentives in games nowadays: competition and bragging rights.
Especially with the emerging online games market (PBBG&#039;s and such), I think competition between players is one of the main reasons a game may become addictive, when it would otherwise be just nice fun.
You also want to show your friends how good/skilled you are, by showing off your hard earned badges, special items, etc.
It is engraved in human nature for people to try and outwit their fellow man, for one to be better than the next, to prove himself before others.
Besides, it&#039;s also great fun! ;)</description>
